Des Moines Metro Opera Spotlight Concert
St. Paul’s Cathedral Arts is pleased to host the Des Moines Metro Opera for a special Spotlight Concert featuring members of the Opera Iowa troupe.
This one-hour performance will include beloved arias and ensembles from well-known operas as well as favorite musical theatre selections that are sure to have you humming along.
Whether you are a longtime opera enthusiast or simply curious, this concert offers an accessible and joyful evening of live performance in the beautiful acoustics of St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Good Friday Liturgy with Adoration of the Cross
This year’s primary evening Good Friday service at St. Paul’s Cathedral will include a special choral liturgy offered by Cathedral Arts.
The Cathedral Choir and Scholars, under the direction of Kyle Brown, will lead music including:
Chanting of the St. John Passion
Crucifixus by Johann Sebastian Bach
Christus factus est by Felice Anerio
Were You There, arranged by Bob Chilcott
Adoration of the Cross is a prayerful time of reflection before the cross of Christ during Good Friday worship.
This service is reverent, powerful, and deeply moving.

Choral Evensong | Feast of the Ascension
Choral Evensong is a traditional Anglican service of evening prayer shaped by scripture, music, and reflection.
The Feast of the Ascension marks the day the Church remembers Christ’s ascension into heaven, a celebration of hope and promise.
