A Case for Love

A free movie showing and Q&A with the Director

  • The Film

A Case for Love is a feature-length documentary inspired by the teachings of Bishop Michael Curry, best known for his royal wedding sermon on "The Power of Love." The film addresses the growing societal and political divisions by exploring whether unselfish love can serve as a healing force. Through a journey across the United States, the filmmakers spotlight individuals who live selflessly, sharing their stories and the impact of their actions on their communities and themselves.

The documentary also features insights from public figures such as Pete Buttigieg, Al Roker, and Jon Meacham, as well as candid interviews with everyday people discussing where they’ve encountered—or missed—unselfish love. Bishop Curry ultimately frames these stories within a broader spiritual and moral context. Touching on themes like racial justice, foster care, disability, and more, A Case for Love invites viewers to reflect on whether love can truly bridge our deepest divides.
